Sundays is gone. I wonder what happened to it. Fire, buy-out, bankruptcy? What was a liquor store turned ice cream/burger/teryaki restaurant turned cute little breakfast place is now a field of dirt and gravel and no less than three backhoes. Only the Cupie Cone sign from one of its previous incarnations remains. Sigh. I never got to go there (not that I ever particularly wanted to) and now I never can. They better build something good there.

Late night conversations are really fun. There is just a really weird and good calm energy going early mornings when lights are out. Too sleepy to do much, to awake to sleep, and tired enough that you just talk about random shit, about anything and everything. I was watching dead like me in the dark last night when Stephen got home, and we just started talking. I am glad I'm not living alone this summer. Having a roommate is oh so much better.

And I keep staying up til 4 or 6 in the morning, just because I don't have anywhere to be. I will have to break that habit soon. But only after I have read the new Harry Potter book. All in one go. Right after buying it at midnight. Just like the last two.

And I have a teapot now. Yay!

Ah, tragic, no?

I've heard two different theories on Sundays, both of which are sworn to be correct. I'll bet the Bee or some other local newspaper would know...

a) Sundays raised the property value so much that they decided to put a Quizno's there instead (which would pay more rent to the land owners)
b) Sundays was always intended as a short term project for a predetermined time, at which point another store was to take its place.

You be the judge...
